Buy Ncaa Tournament Tickets

Every year, there are 14 different venues used for the NCAA Tournament. These venues are usually spread out in every corner of the country and change on a yearly basis. Some venues will host the first and second rounds the first weekend of the tournament, others host the regional semi-finals and finals the second weekend, and one gets to host the Final Four. With so many options, most people are within driving distance of a venue, opening the door for anybody to get their hands on March Madness tickets.

While the tournament itself is one of the great sporting events of the year, the Final Four is undoubtedly the main event. Every college basketball team in the country has the goal of reaching the Final Four. The two back-to-back national semi-finals at the end of March or early April every year are arguably the biggest sporting event this side of the Super Bowl. Attending one in person is something every sports fan needs to experience at least once in their life.

March Madness ticket prices will differ depending on the stage of play, the location of the games, and the teams playing. Generally speaking, the earlier rounds are less expensive, and so, the best price for March Madness tickets is usually around $84 a ticket. As the tournament progresses, and demand increases, so do ticket prices. The average price for tickets is $267, but you can be looking at a few hundred dollars more, depending on the game.

March Madness tickets are currently on sale. But, we recommend that you wait until later in the tournament to get your March Madness or Final Four tickets as prices tend to drop and fluctuate significantly - as each match-up approaches and teams are eliminated.

When the calendar flips to March, there is just one thing on every sports fan's mind: the NCAA Tournament is just weeks away. With dozens of games every year that help the tournament live up to its "Madness" nickname, it's an event on every fan's bucket list.

NCAA Tournament ticket prices can vary substantially based on a handful of variables, including the stage of play, the location of the games, and the teams playing. The earlier rounds are typically less expensive. As the tournament progresses and demand for tickets rises in the later rounds, ticket prices tend to increase.

A full strip of tickets includes a ticket to each of the sessions hosted at that venue. For the first and second round locations, this would include tickets to the two afternoon session games, the two evening session games, and the two second round games in the third session. In the case of the Sweet 16 and Elite 8, a full strip would include tickets for the games at the location for both those rounds. In the case of the Final Four, a full strip includes tickets to the two semifinal games as well as the Championship game.

Unlike most sporting events, in the case of the NCAA Tournament many tickets include admission to more than a single game. In the First Round, Second Round, and Sweet 16, each session includes admission to back-to-back games. However, in the case of the First Round Session 1 tickets do not include admission to the games in Session 2, and vice versa, even though the games are on the same day.

If Wisconsin is selected to host the NCAA First and Second Round and/or Regional Round Tournament matches, season ticket holders will have priority with regards to purchasing tickets. Season ticket holders should request NCAA Tournament tickets to all rounds they are interested in attending. Due to NCAA Tournament ticket allotments and allocations, it may not be possible to receive the same ticket location for the tournament as for your season tickets. All reserved seating assignments are assigned around the four competing schools team blocks based on annual giving level and priority points within each annual giving level as of October 31, 2022.

The NCAA reminds fans who plan to attend 2022 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Basketball Championships games to purchase tickets from authorized sources to reduce the chances of fraudulent activities.

With eight cities across the country hosting the opening rounds, some fans can see their favorite teams just a few hours away from home, while others will have to travel thousands of miles to see opening round action. That, along with other factors, will affect how much tickets for opening round games cost, with prices much higher for some.

"Blue blood teams UCLA, Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona, Indiana and Duke are highly ranked heading into the tournament and will be sought after games for fans of the teams and basketball fans in general," StubHub said.

Another factor will be teams playing close to home; an example would be in the Birmingham site, where tickets for the session that includes Alabama will cost more than the other sessions. For the opening round, get-in prices range from $30-$150, according to Vivid Seats.

The least expensive opening round tickets can be found in Greensboro, where tickets for the first session at Greensboro Coliseum Complex cost $6 ($7 with fees), according to TicketSmarter as of Wednesday evening. The session in Greensboro includes No. 3 seed Xavier vs. No. 14 Kennesaw State and No. 6 seed Iowa State vs. No. 11 seed Pittsburgh. There are four sessions where tickets are under $10.

The most expensive opening round ticket is no longer in Birmingham, but in Albany, where tickets for the first session are $152 ($196 with fees), according to TicketSmarter, as of Wednesday evening. That session includes No. 5 seed St. Mary's vs. No. 12 VCU and and No. 4 seed UConn vs. No. 13 Iona.

After a 2016 debut, Des Moines will host the first and second rounds of the tournament for the second time on March 21 and March 23. But fans must look to secondary markets to purchase seats as organizers sold their entire local allotment months ago.

All-session tickets started at $300 per person and reached as high as $3,000 on the exchange, where all purchases are 100 percent guaranteed. Those tickets would allow fans access to both sessions of first-round play on Thursday and to both second-round games Saturday.
